Other People's Problems

Other People's Problems

A Poem by Budd Black

Sure you have problems, we all have problems.  Your life sucks, that is for sure.  But, by choices made past and present, your problems are self inflicted.  Some inflicted so long ago and so deeply that you don’t realize that you have done it to yourself.  The solution towards normalcy seems so foreign and so extreme that you can’t find purchase towards it.  You work harder sustaining the problem than you would ever need to alleviate it.  I have seen you make strides forward, only to run back due to fear of the unknown.  We all have problems, I guess better the devil you know, than the one you don’t.
