Stranger in a Strange Land

Stranger in a Strange Land

A Poem by Budd Black
"

a poem about loneliness

"

Am I so different

Am I so strange

Can't I adapt

Can't I change

I play along

and try to fit

give a little smile

flash a little wit

but in the end

It is just me

one so strange

They can't see

They'll never know me

They'll never try

They smile too

But it is all a lie

I find it is not so much as myself being strange as I make others around me uncomfortable, they don't like seeing something so close and personal that actually could happen to them....it is best, if they think , "it only happens to other people"
