Contact?

A Poem by Bud R. Berkich
"

A poem about the unfortunate demise of a longtime friendship, not ended by myself. To find freedom for the body and soul, sometimes it is best to cease.

"
Contact?
(To JRD)
Don't expect
contact--
no touch
unless
first touched,
but initiate--
yes-- did that
many times,
(to little
or no avail;

so I don't).
But watch
as fingers
lie dormant,
trembling.
Contact?

Most welcomed,
expected least.

So sad for friendship to end specially in the way that you shared. There are friendships that remain now only in memory probably by similar means. Thanks for sharing.

Really liked the spare delivery of this one. Sometimes few words can speak more powerfully than oceans of them.
