Ramble Series

Ramble Series

A Poem by Thomas B. Buckman

I ramble, I write
Never in spite,
of anything or anyone around me.....

--

You say I need a plan
you say I need a season
I do as I wish
For this, I need no reason

I act how I act
and do what I do
It's always my summer
no wintertime doom..
No lack of my sun

Sometimes I wonder
if my heart is right
will you think of me
as you sleep tonight?

Is my trust misplaced?
are my thoughts correct?
If not, please.. my dear
do interject.
I cant help but think
I cant help but wonder
baby please tell me..
is this a blunder?
I have had enough
of these childrrens games
now please lead me to the door
Damn. What a crying shame.

We could have had it all.
But it definitely takes two..
One is me,
and the the other is you.

indeed, capturing and relatable, a really great poem. i particularly liked the emphasis on a specific emotion
of coming together. keep up the great work.

I like this whole poem, but I really enjoy the last stanza the best. Hmm.
