A Poem by Thomas B. Buckman
"

1989perspective.

"

Born in '89
born to be left behind..
now this is my decree...
That I am independant
And nobody can simply buy me.....

--

Gotta go and smoke
No work, no life, no joke..
Cant take this anymore....
I want to get away.
Cigarrette prices
Oil crisis
Cant get enough
of this energy,
nice..
its
prone to be
thrown
out the window
cause we are simple
education nightmare,
forgot our ps and qs
we so silly
all we know is our pills and booze
gotta sober up
get an education
get a piece of paper
pick your favorite flavor

--

Gotta white picket fence with a dog in the yard
paint peeling, dog heeling,
lawn mower worth stealing
the good job pays nice
my wife, makes good rice
my kids are beautiful, and well
for some reason i thought
that i couldnt be bought
and now ive been caught
in my twenty somethings hell.

Wow. This was awesome!
The flow was amazing! It'd slow and speed up, slow and speed up... in the perfect spots!
I loved the line
"Gotta go and smoke
No work, no life, no joke.."
Breathtaking! Just like those cigarettes. Know what you mean, they''re freaking expensive! And, sadly, it's true. u.u Of me, who's straight out of '89 as well.
Kinda sad ending though.
