I think...

I think...

A Poem by Thomas B. Buckman
"

To Michaelangelo O' Neil

"

When I look in the mirror,
I see your eyes,
theyr'e blue and smiling
Here your soul lies

Your hands cold, but gentle
Your soul warm, and welcome
It warms what was once cold...
Tight in my arms, I want you to hold.

You are me, and I am you
For some reason,
I can't just quit you.
You make me giddy, and I dont know why.
You, my muse, my other side.
All the cleches are honestly true

I want you to know now......

I think......
I could love you.

This is a nice piece. I really like the flow and rhythm here, though it seems to get a little forced/repetitive in the middle of the third stanza. I cannot quite put my finger on it, but there is something a little more awkward about the 2nd you (first and third line of that stanza).

I enjoyed the drawn out ending. Very nice work. It is a very sentimental piece. I adore seeing another side of your writing!

awwwwwww....i really like this...thanks for taking time to write this and post it... the ending really made me smile because of the spacing and ellipses just made me picture a guy who really wants to say the words but is so nervous about it....which is always adorable... =)
