Bird CageA Poem by Jen
Little Little Bird
Sitting in the cage Never chirping Never singing Why not do so? Little Little Child I sit in a cage My voice runs dry My songs grow old Why even bother? Little Little Bird Why not give it a try? Fill your soul Then let it out A sweet song for us all Little Little Child What should I sing I see nothing worth trying Every things so dull What would you like to hear? Little Little Bird Please try for me Think of the world Your world Then let it and sing Alright Little child, I shall try, now listen Little Little Bird Your song is so sweet But horribly sad Why dear Bird Why so sad? Little Little Child Why be happy? I'm trapped in a cage With nothing to do Without a glimmer of hope Little Little Bird Your songs bitter sweet And your feelings so sad I shall free you then So you can be happy again Little Darling Child I thank you so much! I am free now These thine bars Are finally gone Little Little Bird Where will you go Being in a cage so long How will you know Which way to go? Little Little Child Where I go I do not know But I am free now It matters not Little Little Bird I wish you all of luck That you find hope again And will sing sweet songs For all to hear Goodbye Little Child I give you this gift As a token of gratitude And so you can hear me sing Just put it up in the Wind Goodbye Little Bird My dear friend for life Thank you for your feather And I hope we shall meet one day One day when we sing Goodbye, Goodbye, Dear Little Thing © 2009 JenAuthor's Note
