Blackened ViewA Poem by Jen
How cold life is
with this demon inside twisting my emotions making them worse then they seem Anger and sorrow I so commonly feel the little bits of happiness seem false an illusion From a dozen twisting emotions to nothing at all there is hardly any meaning in doing anything at all To do the smallest of chores takes a lot of energy to get work done dosen't seem worth it Happiness and peace are nothing but dreams that are only just out of reach The darkness and pain is too real for words for I feel it's razor edge cutting into my heart The world has gone from something so bright and happy to something so thickly dark were light is only a glimmer An eternal night in this cold freezing world from my blackened view I see truth I see lies A blackened view from a soul trapped in shadows where nice sunny days are cold and dark no comfort in sight no meaning at all why try why be © 2009 JenReviews
