building blocks

building blocks

A Poem by bubblefet
"

not legos

"
reflecting back  these were not mistakes
they were just building blocks on the road we each make
to each his own we're free to roam
but the building still takes place
searching for the stones in which to take
getting the good ones and taking no fakes
been using joy and family in this lil stretch
getting longer with every new fetch
 sorrow betrayal dismissal heartache death
noticing not many good ones left
digging down deep now in the rough
through whats left of this cherry picked stuff
but the building still takes place
needing to correct my way
im forced to use heartache and pain
making myself once again tough
bending my path to get back to the good stuff
maybe a few of the crazy and insane
just to keep it colorful and not to plain
but the building still takes place
there getting heavy and feal ice cold
these blocks that are keeping me in this world
the writing wearing and almost gone
ill keep building till i hear my death song
