Look at us now

Look at us now

A Poem by bubberloo
"

A broken hearted poem for the broken hearted

"

The day we met was a day to remember

the memories all started in sweet november

you took my heart, you took my soul

all of my feelings became out of control.

After awhile you was mine and i was yours

opening a world with so many doors,

new oppertunities and feelings to feel and see

if only you saw the best you brought out in me.

A few months went on, the sourness grew

our happy moments became very few,

what was happening was breaking my heart

if only we could go back to the start.

A year passed by quick and fast

and still nothing changed to like the past,

all to soon, our love turned frail

you soon turned into the typical male.

Our relationship was nearing the end

to far forward to even mend,

fully broken and completely alone

that was the day my heart turned to stone.

I tried and tried, and kept on trying

constant rejection, my heart was dying,

moving on, you become my past

memories of fallen tears and endless laughs.

I thought you were the one, my "Mr right"

the star of my life, my heroic knight,

i guess i was wrong, i should of knew

that life contained no me and you.

Months pass, funny and odd as it all seems

you still light my sky like shimmering moon beams,

but never will there be an "us" again

because now i've learned your the same as most men.

Wow. I really like this. It helped knowing where you are from. I heard your voice in the choice of words "you was mine and i was yours".

You describe the arc of a relationship. Perhaps the first the young girl had experienced. That made it an imporatant time of discovery. This poem is for all of us who started with eyes wide open and ended with nothing to say...well done young poet.

I like how the tone and overall emotions change from start to middle to end. Very nice.

Hey me neither, uh, well not from men, but women lol.

No, I expect the world from women, and they always deliver the whole universe. I guess we men can learn a thing or two from the gals eh?

Very nice Bubberloo.
What a great name!
