Chapter 4.1-Yellow �" another story

It seems like Carnation and Jaz are getting along well, I should invite Jaz more often then. Although these days, it seems like Jaz is chatting with me more often now.

Today Jaz invited me for lunch. And as always I reach the place earlier than the time we decide to meet at. He was already standing there waiting for me, I was surprise!

I went and walk up to him. “Hi Jaz, sorry to keep you waiting.”

“Oh Lotus! Oh no no, I just came as well! Even so you came early as well! Are you looking forward to this so much? Ahahaha” Jaz smiled and said that.

“Oh shut up, I just happen to came early” I roll my eyes. “I’m hungry already, let’s go, I want to go a gift for a friend later”

“Really? Let me accompany you then.” He said while opening the restaurant door for me.

“No need for that, this one’s special, I want to pick it myself” I walk in the restaurant and went straight for an open seat for two. What I want to buy is a gift for Carnation, his birthday is coming up soon and I want to thank him for teaching me this game too. I should go for something he likes.

Jaz and I start eating as the meal came.

“Hey Lotus, I like you” Jaz suddenly said it when I was almost finishing my meal.

I paused for the second. “What?! What?! Why?! When?!” is going through my head. I continue to look at Jaz with a surprised look.

“Will you be my girlfriend? You don’t have to give me an answer immediately though.” He continued.

“Hold on there pal! What the heck? You’re joking right?” I didn’t even expect that coming.

“No I’m not joking, I like you and I really want to know more about you.” He said with a serious look.

I breathe in and out to calm myself down.  “I’m sorry dude but I don’t really see you in that way, I’ll have to-“

“Wait! Don’t just decide yet; give me time to prove to you I really like you, I’ll give it my best!”  He cut me off.

“Listen-“I was about to tell him it’s not going to work but he cut me off again with “It’s not like you have anyone you like yet right? Unless, you like… that Carnation guy?”

“WH-What?! No no no, we’re just friends!” I said while stutter a little.

“Then I still have the chance right?! Let me show you I’m worthy of you!” He said.

From this point on I am literally speechless. “Whatever” I finish off my meal and left the payment of the meal on the table. “I’m going”

I went on buy something for Carnation. “Carnation Carnation Carnation, Mianthus Mianthus Mianthus, why do people keep asking how I think of you? Now, what should I get him, what do he like” I thought.

“Although how do I really think of him though? Hmmm, he is kind, friendly, funny … He is serious from time to time and he can be cute when blushing…”

“HEY LOTUS!”

“Lily?! What a coincidence!”

“What’re you blushing in the middle of the mall for, huhhhh” She looks at me while coming really close to my face.

“It-It’s nothing, I’m not blushing! I’m just a little cold that’s all” I’m blushing while thinking about him?! I didn’t even notice that.

“Wait I thought you’re eating lunch with Jaz today.” Lily said.

Thinking about what just happen, my face turns red. “Y-Ya…I…kinda…finish it off faster…”

“Oho~ what just happen~?” She keeps getting close again.

“Nothing! Anyway I think I know what to get for him already! Bye!” I got nervous but still manage to think of a good gift for Carnation at that second.

 “For him? Oho~” Lily wave at me while mumble while I run off to my destination.

A few days has passed since Jaz’s confession. We still continue to play games and he acts normally throughout the days, actually rather than normal, he seems more considerate to me and speaks more softly somehow.  Hopefully he’ll stop chasing me…but he didn’t.

“Lotus, go to the visitors zone later, there seems to be someone who wants to see you” A teacher told me while I’m eating with Lily.

“Who would want to see one suddenly?” Lily asked.

“I don’t know either, I’ll go check later, you go on back to class without me” I can’t think of anyone who would come to school so suddenly.

“Jaz…Wh-What you’re doing here…?” I look away to avoid eye contact.

“Lotus, look, I really like you, I really want to go out with you, and I don’t know what to say or do to make you realize it, I tried to improve my attitude but I don’t think it’s enough. But maybe, just maybe, my words can get through you this time? Lotus, please go out with me.” He looks at me with a very serious look, manly in fact.

“Thank you, thank you for your feelings, I’ve never thought someone would have fall for me, but I’m sorry, I really have no interest in you at all. Just give up.” I’m tired of this; I really don’t want to think about this anymore. I turn away not saying anything anymore.

“I’m sorry, I won’t bother you anymore” I heard him saying it when going out the room. “It’s over” I thought.

I slowly walk back to class. Looking forward to ask Carnation about his plans on his birthday so I could give him this present I got for him.

“I’m back!” I said while walking in to class. Carnation and Lily was sitting together, somehow Carnation isn’t looking really well. What is going on?

The fourth carnation bloom, it was in the color yellow, Disappointment and Rejection .
