Chapter One

Chapter One

A Chapter by Brandon

TYLER

You ever wish you could be rich and famous for doing absolutely nothing?  You look at the world now and it seems like it should be pretty easy. The s****y products you see on infomercials, or the youtube sensations, or all the talentless singers we have, it looks like it should be a walk in the park. Well, we thought how could we make it even easier? How could we get famous, and rich, and have everything we ever dreamed of with as little effort as possible? And we figured it was easy all we had to do was f*****g lie.

We had everyone in on it that you could imagine, people that you never thought would speak to each other in a high school’s senior class. We had Megan the school’s princess, Brayden the dreamy jock, Trevor the goth, and myself the ringer, I fit in where I need to disappear when I have to. It was all my idea, but it was my ego and selfishness that made me think I could control all these people and make this work.

Now don’t let me fool you, I am not a genius I can barely pass certain classes but I know how to read people, I know what they want to hear, I know how they will react, at least this is what I thought. But for awhile I was right and at the beginning when I pulled it all together it was perfect. Turns out as much as I could read people, I was just as easily read, and ten times more easy to be manipulated.

Its all going to fall apart soon, everyone’s going to try and cover their asses now.  Especially because people got hurt, reputations where ruined, lives shattered,  it’s going to have to get pinned on someone and it looks like  I’m the fall guy as I should be. I heard somewhere people always get what they deserve, I wanted fame and fortune, guess I didn’t deserve it. Because as it turns out all I’m getting is fucked.

            MEGAN

He thought he was so smart he thought I was some ditzy blond who just got away with looking hot. I mean I do but that’s besides the point. He figured because he knew everyone and got along with everyone he was the perfect guy to do this. But come on now, the most popular girl in school, obviously I was the one that was making this whole thing work. I just made it look like I was listening.

            BRAYDEN

He thought he was a f*****g hotshot, he thought he was better than me. F*****g moron. I’m the star of this school, I’m the starting quarterback, starting point guard. Who did he think he was telling me what to do? But Megan said to listen, she said that in the end his plan did make sense but we’ll be the one to get all the credit, the ones to get what he thought he would.

Trevor

I didn’t really care to be honest with you, famous, money, none of that really mattered. But Tyler was a good guy when he was younger before we went our different ways. He knew me though, he knew I liked to see things break, and to see people get damaged. I took a lot of s**t from all of them, but I figured that if I worked with Tyler this would work. And all the people who hurt me before would get hurt. Anything that came along with it was just a bonus.

TYLER

It was senior year, and by August I’d be in a college, away from here. Yeah. Right. That was everyone’s plan but mine. F**k college. F**k four more years or work, just to get into a lifetime of work. There is an easier way to get by and I was going to find it. I was going to be successful,  I was going to be rich, and I was going to get it done just by sitting on my a*s.

I remember sitting in history class with all of them, we we’re learning about dictatorships and how the leader always found a way to get people to believe him, to go along with him.  This is what started the whole idea, looking at Trevor in the back of the room with his pale skin, and midnight dark hair over his eyes. I thought act nice to him he’ll fall in line.

Then I saw Megan who was f*****g gorgeous, blonde hair, piercing green eyes, great a*s, perfect face. Everyone loved her, I knew that she wouldn’t be a person to get to follow you easily but she was someone you needed. There is always a way to get to people and I knew I had to play to the vain side of her. She was almost too easy.

But the eaiset was Brayden because all I needed was Megan, he was like a f*****g rabbit, and she had a carrot shoved squarely between her tits. Where she went he would follow. Knowing this at the time, I should have seen right there, I should have always been worried about the two of them..

I'm ready for Chapter 2 (if you're finished with Chapter 1). I can tell you that Tyler is funny. I love it! He's going to get rich sitting on his a*s. LOL. I love it. Poor Brayden. The carrot--literally LOL over that. You're on to something here. Keep going. I'll be following--oh look...did you just add me to your list? $%#^
