Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday

A Poem by Brandon
"

A song i wrote about a close family member of mine

"

Febuary 13th I don’t know the year, it’s better of I don’t even care. I know where you not, I know your not here. The candles on the cake, the parts of me that you take. Where’d you go I wanna know. Your dinners getting cold. It was birthday surprise, to brighten up your eyes, but you didn’t even come to see what  I had done.

So happy birthday to you, happy birthday. Listen to what they say and make wish upon the smoke.  Tell me what you asked for, is it revival  as youre going broke. And if that’s what it is I hope you choke on it, you should have wish for kids, and for it to be alright. I hope its cold on your birthday night.

Another year you grow older, and I grow colder. Is your hair turning gray, are on on the phone thinking of the right words to say. Or are you far from home, feeling all alone. Are the wrinkles coming in? is the pain setting in?

So happy birthday to you, happy birthday. Listen to what they say and make wish upon the smoke.  Tell me what you asked for, is it revival  as youre going broke. And if that’s what it is I hope you choke on it, you should have wish for kids, and for it to be alright. I hope its cold on your birthday night.

Tell me is this what you fear. Your kids don’t know your age, I’ll just turn the page. I won’t shed a tear on your birthday this year.  Febuary 13th 19 sixty something, you used to be someone but now to me your nothing.

So happy birthday, happy birthday, happy f*****g birthday.
