Unconditional

Unconditional

A Poem by E.A. Spain

Some love is lost and some love gets found

Some won’t even bother to look up when love comes around

Sometimes we are here

Sometimes you’re over there

Regardless my love will follow you any and everywhere

Love is faithful

Love is kind

What they failed to mention is that love is blind

Love won’t choose to go this way or that

It will only be all that it is and that is a fact

Love is as new and yet familiar as the rising sun

But even it will set when love is all said and done

Right when you least expect it, it will come to shine again

Just to remind you that there is truly no end

What a lovely poem. Love will never end. That is true indeed!

A pleasing tribute to the power of love... I liked the echoes of I Corinthians 13 and the addition 'love is blind'' etc. How true it is that love catches us unawares and we cane be physically and emotionally overwhelmed by a sudden encounter.

I love this. The 2nd line describes me pretty well. I'm oblivious when someone loves me and the moment I realize they do - usually them or someone else telling me they do - I feel cold like a bucket of ice water has been dumped down my shirt. To me love is cold because I am blind when loving and usually don't realize how wrong I was to love them until I've been kicked out, heart on the pavement, and full of regrets.

Still, I can't ignore how love is faithful and kind in this strange - often cruel - world we exist in. How love is constant and it breaks hearts as much as it awakens us, lights our souls on fire and makes us want to fight to do whats right for ourselves. How love follows us anywhere, whether bad or good, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Love comes in simple and complex things. How we love someone or how we love something in this world. Both are applied to me when I read this poem and you are wise to know this, the differences in it that makes it so great and so sad.

Amazing work.
