Lie to me and tell me everything's okay Even though it doesn't seem that way and the clouds are getting darker and closing in And no one is human among these sons of men who chase the paper and will cut anything in their way Yea everything will be okay Even though it doesn't look like that's the case and I pray that the time I'm giving you isn't a waste Because I have no leftovers to give And it's getting harder and harder to live To breathe
To think ... Knew that in this food chain there's a missing link Between God and me And it's something I can't see And I'm not sure if I will ever be able to do the things you want from me but Maybe that's not the path I'm taking Jus like how they say promises are meant for breaking And all I know is I'm looking for an awakening . Some kind of realization or explanation for why it's so hard right now.. Why can't I figure out how .. To be successful and carefree and live life the way it's supposed to be - just letting
You have a way of expressing these deep emotions that we all feel.
Who hasn't, even among the most devout believers, seeing that Earth is so full of unfairness, materialism, evil and corruption, experienced doubts concerning God?
Yet in the poem itself I sense that, no matter what doubts and uncertainties you may feel,
you still have your faith in your Creator. And the conversation that you direct towards God is exactly the way it is supposed to be, just like a frustrated child communicating with her or his parent.
And all parents rather hear their children's complaints rather than suffer in silence and frustration.
Therefore, as a parent would want his child to speak out with truth and respectful reverence, our Creator also want us to speak out on things that trouble us, just like Job in the Bible.
You definitely are a voice for the masses.
You have so much to offer to this world as part of your divine destiny.

E.A., I'm curious if you've found your "vibe" (since this was written in 2016). It's well-written and conveys the frustration and self-doubt so often present in our youth. You also express a sense of urgency and impatience, again common among young people, that works well in this poem. And, unlike so many other poems with similar themes, I don't see a darkness. Instead, there's determination, traces of hope in finding that path. Nice work on this one.

Not that I have all the answers or nothing going on tho. Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it.
I am a young creative and creator. I fell in love with writing poetry as a young teenager when I was trying to get through hard times. Regardless, I excel in any type of writing I put my mind to. I am.. more..
