A Place Only I KnowA Poem by Bryce SimondsThe pitter-patter of rain plays outside my window Its sweet melody takes me to a place only I know Where the blue birds sing, Where seas are filled with sorrow, Where there is no such thing as a good morrow.
This place I know is where I think Where I cry, where I drink I sit here alone inside this place, Waiting, wondering, wishing strong, For something better to come along.
As the rain drops cease to fall I come back to where I was, sitting against my wall And now I realize I just want to let you know, I think you're most beautiful when you don't even try, And from everything you've ever told me, I still don't understand why. © 2010 Bryce SimondsFeatured Review
