The battle is upon them

For their love they shall fight

Through night and day

He can still hear her say

Those soulful words

"I love him"

 

The fighting has only begun

The odds are against them now

It is the "others" one, lovers zero

He stands up to be the hero

For you see he needs her love

He needs her

 

Halfway through the battle now

Nothing has yet to get better

He has fought most of this fight

She realizes now that he is right

They must win this for love

She will battle

 

The battle is over for now

Though lovers have lost this fight

It is the battle they have lost not the war

Time shall heal this well hurt sore

He and she will not settle with defeat

Their love shall prevail
