Components of LifeA Poem by Bryan Wang
Let's pretend for a second
That "I love you" wasn't a blessing and a curse. That closed doors could be walked through Without the magic of a brand new time machine. I see the flashing red lights. They're not for emergencies. I see the cabs at night With a bunch of empty seats. You can't give up Even if you wake up to a fog. You can't slow down Even if you're feeling so alone. These components of life, Some pass me by, Others make me cry. These components of life, Some plant a trap, Others make me laugh.
