Soul Pieces

Soul Pieces

A Poem by Bryan_Himmel

Wake up
from what?
disillusions I create
bred my own confusions

Lies to cover up
events that transpire
of my soul, pieces I have given
makes them think of candy,
reese's to be specific

Don't tread on me
most say but nay not me
here is the welcome mat
freshly swept, awaits your feet

They say love's for fools
then your fool I will be
all I want, a gentle touch
something real, something sweet
but in the end, you'll rape me

Emotions of course
is what I speak
or better yet
what I seek
