Regretted Memories

Regretted Memories

A Poem by Bryan_Himmel

walk down this aisle alone
if not for you I'd own my soul
gave it up with such little care
you were the lungs for my air
I never knew what made you tick
never knew it would end like this
how could you expect me to pick
what was it that I missed
how the hell did you get so sick
of me....oh of me
fast forward a year or two
maybe three
is where you'll end it with me
feeling dread, eased the guilt
you were the knife and I was the wrist
I never knew what made you tick
never knew it would end like this
how could you expect me to pick
what was it that I had missed
how the hell did you get so sick
standing all alone
in this hell that you call home
feeling of bliss, won't reminisce
of all these times,
these times with you are done.
