Morning Decisions

Morning Decisions

A Poem by Bryan_Himmel

if I told you
how I thought of you
would you smile inside
or run and hide
away, don't go away
stay with me tonight
stick by my side
and share this sight
watch that morning rise
swallow those goodbyes
if I confessed all my thoughts
laid to bare my reasons why
what would you say, would you do
would you laugh or would you cry
kiss my lips or hide your face away
stay with me tonight
stick by my side
and share this sight
watch that morning rise
swallow those goodbyes
but you said you never meant to leave
but then I woke to your fleeing pace
and I confess, I died a little inside
saw you retreat to a place inside
locked away, you left me without a key
why did you go? why did you leave?
who was I to not just say.....
I should of said
won't you
stay with me tonight
stick by my side
and share this sight
watch that morning rise
swallow those goodbyes
