Your Overcrowded Heart

Your Overcrowded Heart

A Poem by Bryan_Himmel
"

I wrote this a few nights ago, poetry/lyrics

"
they say not to judge a man
before you walk a mile in his shoes
but don't take over for me yet
hell isn't so far away for me now
don't look on me in pity
you stood by and watched me fall apart
she said its over now
and I don't know if it ever really was

but not today, take your pity
somewhere else and let me hold onto my sorrow,
cold and broken in the dark
watch me burn away slowly from your,
 overcrowded heart

I never asked for this pedestal
you put me on it and worshipped me for what?
I never said I was strong enough
but you leaned on me til I caved in
don't blame me for finding
the bottom of another bottle
when you were the one who
showed me where they were stored

but not today, take your pity
somewhere else and let me hold onto my sorrow,
cold and broken in the dark
watch me burn away slowly from your,
 overcrowded heart

you could've just told me
you were not the one for me
and I was not the only one for
your lonely nights, with those lovely thighs
I admit I may of cried, but you will never
see the pain in these eyes.
