Jester's Antics

Jester's Antics

A Poem by Bryan_Himmel

you ask my why I'm broken
tease me cause I'm sad
laugh at how I'm hopeless
cause you know who wrote this
this fate here of mine
made of mockery in so little time
what did i do to deserve this
a court jester for your focus

call it heaven
or call it hell
breath out the wasted prayers
that no one ever hears
the room centered on me
"purgatory for an eternity
a prison fitting for thee"

I did so little, was it worth it?
my story played out
but wasn't me who wrote it
a pawn in a game
to serve the greater purpose
running out of time
a dying question in mind
did i honestly deserve this
