Ground zero

Ground zero

A Poem by Bruna Digregorio

Let the sky over your heads
be always blue
and the ground
under your feet
moist with dew.
Our sons
will live in a free land
and will lift their gaze
to the heavens
and smile at the future.
The hopes and dreams
of millions of Americans
stand here.
We shall see the sky
sparkling with diamonds.

On September 11, 2001 it was a beautiful clear and clear day. The twin towers have fallen. Yes, it is war, but not a war of religion. All these wars between religion, all these slaughter, it’s very confusing. War must be waged under the control of a loving disposition, that no man is fit to inflict punishment until he has banished hate from his heart.

bruna,

Violence is a by product of fear and dishonesty. The insecurity and ignorance beyond all human interventions make it a saga through the history. The race called HUMANS are well known for this misinterpretation of reality, but in vain. Still we search for the solution in darkness as it is inside us only for all these centuries.
No solutions have ever indulged positively than poetry to erase this.
But always it can not delve in to the scene alone.
But we writers should try and try.....
as above

a good attempt indeed.....
