Omen

Omen

A Poem by Bruna Digregorio

Remorse
regrets
escape
return,
his head in his hands.
Neon lights,
it’s like it’s protecting
itself or something,
you have this look
like you're keeping
a secret or something.
Shade,
what haunts a man's mind
in the night
is what rules him.
Give a man freedom of choice
and you give him temptation.

Nicely put, short and sweet..the paradox of free will vs. temptation is what separates the believers from the disbelievers..I think faithful men have it easier than the norm..
