Intimate Thoughts

Intimate Thoughts

A Poem by Phil Sanders
"

A gentle love poem ...

"

Sitting here quietly as the rain gently falls

A day full of clouds and showery squalls
But my heart full of sunlight and beauteous thoughts
As I now know the way that my life runs its course
Your loveliness fills all my soul and my heart
A cup that’s so full it overflowed from the start
I see all the love that is lit in your eyes
And still that thought sparks so much joy and surprise
For you are so special … a dream that’s come true
I’ll always be saying how much I love you
I still taste your kisses although we’re apart
Your softness is with me so deep in my heart
My life is fulfilled with your beauty and charms
I wait here until you return to my arms
I love you my darling more than you’ll ever know
A lifetime of passion for you here I’ll show
When once more together as one we will be
With love and deep feelings so intimately

Well, another fine write here! Except with this one, I noticed something different for you...almost every line of this love poem is a love poem in and of itself. I don't see this a whole lot but there are a few of my favorite writers here in The Cafe who achieve this from time to time and I see now you must have been hanging with them....cuz, this one has those qualities also! Love it!

Good morning this a nice poem. It shows to me that the love you have for this lady is very deep. The lines are well presented and thought out. A good write some times the best poems have the fewest lines. A very well put together peice.

Quite brilliant the way you pull the reader into sharing your feelings of love and tenderness. This is very well done.

This seems to be a long distance love, the hardest kind on the spirit. The distance increases the emotions. It must be difficult. Rain..
