I Am Fulfilled

I Am Fulfilled

A Poem by Phil Sanders
"

My joy, pleasure and love exploding inside me ....

"
The wind tears at my face as I run through the storm
My mind whirling with passion, joy and desire….
A moment’s beautiful madness as the rain soaks me
Making me laugh out loud….
My laughter disappears on the wind …
Into the unknown distance ….to be picked up by the leaves..
As they scatter under the storm’s wrath…
But nothing can stop the joy in my heart ….
I am fulfilled .. after all of these years…

A soulmate has entered my being and delivered me from eternal despair…
Lighting my heart and my mind with her love and desire..
Her tenderness and her beauty ….
Each time my lips touch hers .. the lightning flashes in my soul…
Leaving me in pure ecstasy … awaiting the next electric touch..
We run naked through our lives …pleasure oozing from our pores
A joy and passion that cannot be dimmed but will always shine brightly in the sky
I feel her presence whether she is lying next to me.. or across the ocean…
It stills my beating heart and fills it with contentment …
What joys and pleasures there are to come …
Each moment with her a new lifetime ….
I am fulfilled ………forever

Somebody's in love :-)

Wonderful poem, Phil.....I am a big fan of combining the elements of weather and emotions, so this one spoke to me. I like that you used the wind and rain....the essence of the storm itself....to be co-conspirators with your happiness to elude the wrath of the storm --- very clever.

The setting is moody... I felt as if this had happened before"De Javu"! Pace is good and the wording sticks in your head like a song...

Ah-ha! So that gigantic storm rolling our way across the Atlantic this weekend makes sense now! It is your own personal love gale!

This poem has to be one of you best as it is just, well, full on! No mistaking what you describe...Love Force 10! GOOD LUCK! 'The lightening flashes in my soul' is a lovely line! An honest poem full of real passion.

Very nice. The first stanza reminds me of a scene from A Room with a View, after the two lovers have kissed and George runs home through a rain storm. Don't know if you are familiar with it.
