Calm Love

A feeling of pure contentment ...

An ocean of calm surrounds me

The ripples of life are stilled

My mind is awash with sweet moments

With you as I feel so fulfilled

No more the panic of storms

Becalmed in a love deep and pure

My oars just glide on the water

As my happiness now is ensured

For you are my island of comfort

In the sea of life for all time

I am your haven of peace

As you so deeply are mine

So away we will sail to the sunset

With a joy that is utterly true

Together forever as soulmates

Which is why I will always love you

Superby gentle...I think the image of oars trailing in calm water is lovely, as that is an ideal most sensible folk strive for, assured bliss, especially after the maddening exctiement and chaos of youth.
