Music and Love

Music and Love

A Poem by Phil Sanders
"

A love poem

"

I play music for hours to you
My fingers flying across the keys
Playing melodies of love for you
My love pours out of these notes .....
like a mountain stream......
turning into a raging torrent of emotion
As it nears the sea.

My love is like the water washing over a stone ....
I want to wash over you...
I want my love to flood over you ...
making love all day long.

My fingers playing melodies on you ...
feeling your silkiness.

You are the symphony of life ...
playing in my heart ...
teaching me new melodies with every passing day.....
The deep, deep love I have for you ....
pounding like a drum inside my head.

The aching without you like a sad clarinet .....
playing moodily as the sea brushes the shore ....
in my lonely walk along the beach.

And then you're here ... and the strings ...
play with such sweetness and happiness in my heart ...
the melody of love ... so gentle and so warm ..

I want you always and forever ...
to play me and bring the magical music out of me...
that only you can do.

Without you ... my keys are silent ... gathering dust...
Come ....... make my music flow ...............

Talented individual you are sir. This flowed well. I liked the concept of the musicain playing his piano in some somke filled bar. mundane but its a job. But when SHE walks in the whole mood of the place lifts. his music takes on a vibrant almost jazz like tone. I enjoyed the way your brought musical instruments in to the peice and also the sea and the moods of the sea. I get the impression that our piano player knows the songs she likes to hear. That is why she goes in to the bar where he plays. And she leaves she tells the bar tender to give the piano player a burbon on the rocks. he arrives home in the early hours where they disscuss the performance over good food and red wine. Great write from the 2nd city Carl

It's happened again... I find that when I've read something I really like I can't get it out of my mind and Ghostly Bows is still in my head and this one can't get head space for it. The word bows in the title also jives with actors.

by far the longest piece i have read from you, and by far the on i loved the most. the second i finished reading, i thought of the one and only person i love, how a poem brought me so much peace in so little time makes me question the very once of reality. I got so much tranquility and felt blessed to feel like that water flowing all over, like the music playing in soul. My wife brings me to life, thank you phil. Everyday i fall in love, this poem had made me remember how beautiful it is, Sr.Phil.

This is very nice indeed. I really like how you have metaphor within metaphor; I especially like how you go from music to the mountain stream and the water washing over a stone. Brilliant. NH
