Montage of Freedom

Montage of Freedom

A Poem by Phil Sanders
"

Fly free amongst the clouds .....

"

The storm brews and the wind howls

Your face is battered by the rain

But it frees you from the shackles of the world

Clearing a path in your mind to nirvana

You smile as you fight the raging storm

Your being exudes joy at the tearing rain

Your inner peace rejoices

At the freedom nature brings

The trickling brook with cold clear water

The freshness of the mountain air

Fling open your mind to contentment

And the peace within your life

Oh Phil thanks for giving me this poem. I promise that I will try to imbibe "Fling open your mind to contentment
And the peace within your life"
I love the rain and its great getting drenched but sometimes you can get your face battered by the rain...I know.
Thanks to friends like you I have got my badge back but more than that I got this poem which you promised me.You are wonderful Phil!!
There is a typo in this perfect creation just wanted to point it out because its flawless otherwise.

"Your face is battered by by the rain"

repeated word, BTW.

Nice work. It's been raining like a bad place here and I can't even picture it as anything peaceful anymore. But thanks to this, it made me feel a bit refreshed actually. Rain is quite refreshing. A thousand drops aimed at you with every intent to wash you of the grime and dirt of everyday stress and such, it makes me feel a bit calm and inspired to write more. Thanks for sharing.

I know a lot of people find real pleasure in rain but I am not one of them. I can't ever remember thinking kind thoughs about rain, though I know it is vital for us in so many ways...and I love water, to swim in. But I honestly can not remember ever having a Gene Kelly moment in my entire life! I like the line about 'fling open the mind' though, great verb, fling.
