Nighttime Shrouds

Nighttime Shrouds

A Poem by Phil Sanders
"

Fears banished by the new day ....

"

Her head upon the pillow
The eyes are lost in thought
A slightly furrowed brow
Some feelings slightly fraught
The day will open soon
As the sun breaks through the clouds
And life will seem much better
Without night’s darkened shrouds
The daylight will awaken
The joy that life can be
As corn sways in the meadows
And clouds float over seas
A freshening wind will carry
All those nightmares far away
And leave her with contentment
On a lovely Summer’s day

It is so true that any doubts, fears, or just plain *mind trembles* happen mostly at night when the darkness hides the visible faces of love and peace.

This poem is a reminder that no matter how bad this day or this night may be - the sun will rise in the morning and with the new dawn - there is always hope.

lovely write Phil

It's true corn does sways in the meadows and clouds do float over seas. Although it might sound obvious it is not always obvious to people who are fed up for one reason or another, so to remind people that this actually is how life can be is a very positive message.
