The Death of A Romance

The Death of A Romance

A Poem by Rb

A fluttery heart,
My hostility a castle,
My words arrows aflame,
Happiness at siege,
Here lies affection,
The sparks long dead,
The exchanges cold,
A man unloveable,
A queen unforgiving,
Animosity a river,
No dam in sight

Desecrated and defeated,
Resting in sweet decadence,
Rotten with optimism,
Razed by sweet words and smiles,
Hopes floating higher than any star,
Shot down from the heavens,
Her voice the golden horn,
My world the walls of jericho

Author's Note

Rb
Yeah, i originally had written the first part as "I hate fights" but then i started a new poem that basically ended that one perfectly....
