The Adrenaline

The Adrenaline

A Poem by Bruce Weightman

The power that engulfs me the strength that i feel the monster in the closet coming out to kill the strength that i have held back to keep you free from ill the demon in my heartbeat the thief stealing my will. To make some astounding feat to create a better man the animal that hates me. I don't know why this is so cold the darkness consumes the monster that looms. I just cant shake the adrenaline the kingpin the monster inside me the creature that breaks me the master of the dark and the ruler of the fear. I'm scared of the darkness and the walls have ears I'm screaming from inside and nobody can hear. All the lives lost because i held back when i should have used this power to stop the attack.
