five easy pieces

five easy pieces

A Poem by Bruce

to the dawn sky

colored red

peaking over the landscape

of the silent west

we walk like

the dead

lurching forward

constant motion

however slow

shifting body weight

to reach culmination

chemicals erupt

like the first time

inebriation

slumber still

like a coma

white bedsheets

pulled over the sofa

won't hide the stain

of passion

rose red

is black instead.
