stone roses

stone roses

A Poem by Bruce

without a thorn in my side

without scorn I do naturally abide

contentment a breast stroke away

in your bed all is still save the pounding in my heart

stone roses are all i can give to you

you seem to be satisfied

because you are tantalized

sometimes we both feel scrutinized

under the magnifying glass of life

rest your head love next to mine

and you shall see our bodies collide

with friction and sweat

it's cold outside

and we're far from done yet.
