Final Day

Final Day

A Poem by BrownJanelle
"

few people have passed away. a lot came to my mind, so written out..this is what I think.

"
I soon will die
You as well
Will soon die
Death comes with cruel intentions
Fame nor wealth prevent what is so certain
And it certainly is a wakeup call
For those who have yet to greet death its self
Young or Old
We are all a soul
A story to be told
But its what you have already written
What you already lived
That make each life what it is
My life, I hope, will contain the breaths breathed with precious meaning
I will one day come eye to eye with death
If sudden or in sleep
Like a long awaited moment
Shall I greet death with a warm kiss
Knowing its sensation leads to an even warmer embrace
John 3:29
"The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete."
Like a final ceremony to a wedding
I walk down the narrow path
Wearing white, though stained from the valley
Philippians 3:14
"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
Final moments of preparation
For a lifetime commitment
When I say "I do"
Lord, take all of me as I am now
I will be waiting for you.
1 Peter 4:5
But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
