A fond cover over a hidden lover

A fond cover over a hidden lover

A Poem by BrownJanelle

Those lips that were once mine

Ideas and recollection flooding in

So my thoughts emerge into a cavern

filled with the eerie and cold thoughts of what once was

What once was nothing but a selfish touch

What once was the empty feeling of a stranger

So the piano plays

And the words come

This sad poem of a broken past

Written in cursives to make it seem beautiful

But what a pitiful attempt

So comfortable is this state of mind

Fitting my mood so well

For with this cavern, is a covering

Warmth in self pity
