I loved the complete poem dear Susan.
"How daydreams welcome Summer's warm embrace,
as rosy cheeks gleam possibilities.
T'ward blissful freedom, young hearts lively chase ...
flop peacefully beneath majestic trees."
I loved the above lines. I love the trees and the lake. A place to know peace. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Long day...and I read this smile making review! Thank you Patricia!!
Susan, you bring charm and style into a very upside down world with such beautiful words.. and the illustration, an Edwardian card as well (I think) Your ability to use poetic form is smoothly and elegantly put, such as,
delightful to read and experience ... how important it is to reunite with our inner child .. reminiscences of wild dreaming, damsels in distress are rescued and brave deeds are done with courageous hearts where least expected ... i am too lazy to count iambs; but this reads well and smoothly ... its form dictates some of the language naturally but the scene of children in real time and in one's memory overplay it .. our innocence and how we "flop" ;) timeless indeed ... dreams on wings and without limit .. under the safety and warmth of that enveloping tree .. yes to the days of chasing butterflies .. yes and yes again says i!

In my uneedgemucated way I see this is possibly a sonnet and about a couple of my very favorite things, sunshine and butterflies
If you'd squeezed in a hummer I would have been forever satisfied but this will help to carry me through to those warmer days
