I enjoyed this piece. A pleasing visual portrait. Not a true sonnet in dimension but the feel is very real. Passionately penned with ease and you are talented. Brava!

Sorry if I offended you I didn’t mean to. This is a sonnet and you have a wonderful talent for this so keep up the great work, truly!

I have been known to look down upon the lofty sonnet becuz many poets write them as if all the restrictions seem to be hampering their imagination. This is one of those rare sonnets that doesn't draw any attention to being a sonnet becuz you've done such a standout job of using interesting complex language, rhyming, storytelling & drama. Well done! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Hi Margie! Thank you for reading and for the wonderful review!!!
' .. poets 'oft imagine … so, it seems, ~ cascading fantasies, as lovers sleep '
A beautiful picture and an equally beautiful outpouring of words.. calm, loving, yet passionate. From start to finish you've played the two parts with such skill, yet as waiting, waiting perhaps.. to explode into a billion stars.. fireworks.. magic!!! 'Beside you, journeyed countless midnight dreams,.. '

Very well penned, so fluent and eloquent in delight almost resemblance of the constant waves bringing tranquility and serenity throughout the read. I felt a Shakespearean style and how love is very enigmatic and takes a leap of faith of complete surrender. Alan watts said once " You see, for all life is an act of faith and act of gamble." I loved the line "cascading fantasies, as lovers sleep." In this line I get How dreams and desires fall in stages down a steep rocky slope lapping over each other. Keep writing sincerely your friend in poetry and life :)
