Where Hope Resides

Where Hope Resides

A Poem by Susan 🦋
"

Doubledown Style (Fours 'n Sixes)

"

'Neath open eyes,
deep darkness lies,
and chills my depths of soul.
Entrenched within,
heartache held in--
shall faith my heart console?

Completely lost,
will broken, tossed--
my heart begins to pray.
Arms raised up high,
asked questions why--
concede, and beg your stay.

 Darkness shattered,
Shadows tattered--
black fading, shades to grey.
Grief-soothing peace,
forlornness cease--
clouds waning on this day.

Revealing love
from up above,
true love that holds me tight
now rides with me
when I can't see
my way through darkest night.

Thank you dear happy new year
A survivor's tale - a thousand yard stare, unblinking ...lost. Strange how sometimes one's coffee grows cold as you're lost in your own thoughts while listening as the world continues on.
