Love's  Sweet Revival

Love's Sweet Revival

A Poem by Susan 🦋
"

love poem...

"

Transparent eyes that can't disguise

this needless worry held herein …

my heart’s reprise, once again tries

to quell deep sorrows felt within.

Afraid to see, dare ask of me,

this trodden soul to rescue you?

I've heard your plea, can true love be

meant for the broken to pursue?

Give me your hand, together stand

against life’s crushing fears and doubt;

with this demand, please, hear firsthand

I yearn for love that’s true, devout.

Wrapped in my heart, hence from the start,

such blessings come to restore me.

God's work of art, I'll ne’er depart …

with every moment, longed to see.

Of thoughts I've sighed, I’ll now confide;

with every breath this love grows strong.

Heartstrings untied, desires collide;

all I am now … to you, belong.

Release your fears, cry no more tears,

let rest your weary soul, and then;

true love reveres, as through the years,

together … let's live once again.

This is absolutely beautiful. The flow is voluptuous, the rhyme is melodic, the imagery is enthralling, the visual is artistic, the descriptions are clear ... overall, everything in this piece is well-crafted. The emotional feel is also strong ... every word felt soft and romantic.
One minor critique: I suggest not using a semicolon in the second line of the last stanza because it continues into the third line. A pause right there (as indicated by the semicolon) seems unnecessary to me.

awe thank you so much! :-)
the power of love. What builds much and strong than love?
what makes the world a better place if its not love.
Love is what keeps us alive, love gives more life than anything else.
I love this poem and each line of it

There's so much love and caring in your words start to finish. they almost hurt my senses.. tho in the best way! From first to last, you offer your heart and protection, your assurance and understanding. Dear Lord, who could doubt or refuse you.

'Release your fears, cry no more tears, .. .. .. .. .. .. let's live once again.'

Beautiful love. Beautiful poetry.

Thank you so much!!! I'm glad you enjoyed this little poem of mine!!!
Susan,
Every now and again one comes across something that brands the senses with such deep wonderment and beauty they know it will remain within their core for all time … this, for me, is one of those kind of poems.
It embraces virtually everything a lover, a hopeful and grateful soulmate could wish for in passionate promise, there is nothing your amazingly touching words of love and affection have not swept through my vividly poetic imagination.
Who could possibly resist,
"Heartstrings untied, desires collide;
all I am now … to you, belong." … goodness, what a heavenly line, Dear Poetess.
I perceive nothing less than perfection in this one … an astounding work in every way!

Everything you've written lately has taken-on a feeling of bliss, and this one sure gifts a blessed sensation — sheer enthrallment, Susan … thank you ever-so warmly for sharing You and your amazingly captivating poetic skills! ⁓ Richard 🍃
