Tainted Lullaby

Tainted Lullaby

Response to Wishing

"
I cannot forget the deceit and lies that were covered by such a beautiful smile.
Woe is me in my time of desperation and need for closure.
You swore there would never be another, yet many have laid in my place,
Even during marriage, in my home, in front of my face.
Late night texts and early hour calls, constant excuses, and you said to hell with it all.
Oh, I am beautiful and no woman dare compare!
However, young, old, free or for a small fee, you let yourself lay bare.
Woe is me in my time of desperation and need for closure.
Blame everyone else for your mistakes and make others suffer,
Remember who was always there in your time of despair and dark stupor.
Quickly you became comfortable and used my heart and love in vain,
You put me through the ringer my dear, and rode me like a midnight train.
Now you cry through your writings as if you did nothing wrong,
Acting like a lost soul trying to find your way back home.
Woe is me in my time of desperation and need for closure.
Admit to the entire world, and stop being a cowardly one!
If there is ever to be a future with me included,
Then truth along with reparations for all the hardships must be done.
