My Dearest

My Dearest

A Poem by MaRmAlAdE

 Tell me

Oh hath where thyne life leads

You to choose

A fairytale of a far away land

The dagger cuts thyne heart

Into pieces

That shred and ooze through my hand

Blame do I not

I see what has been thrown upon thee

This burden do I wish for no one

Not even my worst enemy

When night falls

The empty whirlwind of temptation

Stalks my space

Wishing I could simply erase

The thought…

This piece drudges up mistakes that I made and the sadness it made me feel. I plan to use this piece in my one woman show about being a single mom.

powerful, convicting and convincing feature, I like the olde world style english, the depth. Nicely Done.
