I Sit Waiting

I Sit Waiting

A Poem by Koda
"

Time waits for no one, not even love... but you can.

"

And so, I sit waiting.
This clicking clock that tells me time
cannot tell me where you are, right now.
She cannot tell me what you are doing;
this is where she follies;
this is where I folly.
Can I sit patiently, waiting,
as the clock is ticking?
As patiently as the numbers
who are waiting for the hand.
With this, I hope and pray;
I send my dream into the Aether,
and wait for it to manifest…
for you to manifest.
Slowly still, for you to come to me.
Like the hands on a clock,
which are waited on by the numbers,
which I patiently watch now, as you’re away.
As I am waiting on you, here.
And so, I sit… waiting
