Drowning

Drowning

A Poem by Koda
"

For when you are overtaken by a feeling so strong that it submerges you and keeps you under, unable to do so much as breath... and you wouldn't have it any other way

"

Let loose the flood of emotion, thus

Forth coming are my feelings

Open wide, like a river spout

How can one attest to them?

But to let them run their course, supposed

Ernest and true, the trail is winding

River bend of my heart, lined with joy

This I say as I raft the waters

My love for you, this wave I’d ride

Where it leads me, guides me, beguiles

And so the flow does carry my there

A stream, a river, rushing, my feelings

And with this I fall, dropping deep

Submerged in the ebb and flow of you

Lost in the current, no surface nor coast

Glad, though, I sink

Gladly though, I drown

None to save me but Loneliness’s hand

This I reject for the love of you

Drown me in your passion.

Drown me in your love.
