Is Anybody Out There?

Is Anybody Out There?

A Poem by Brooklynn Ranae
"

I wrote this poem in a dark moment of my life. Sometimes, the darkest moments bring out the best in my writing abilities.

"
Help!
Is anybody out there?
Can you hear me?
Screaming!
Waiting!
I've been needing,
Wanting,
Waiting,
For the pain to go away
Where is everybody?
Have they all gone?
They vanished
At the moments needed most
Where is everybody?
Have they abandoned,
Abandoned when I'm so close
So close to achievement
Crying
Crying out for the moment
But nobody is there
When the times go bad
It's not me
You think
Then you realize
That nobody is there
Is anybody out there?

Everyone feels like this at least once... It's sad when you tell someone and you get called stupid for not realizing that 'you aren't REALLY alone' ... Honestly. People should all be writers. Writers (at least ones that try) look deep into a person and search for their very character. They want to understand... instead of just brushing it aside... Everyone just wants to know they aren't alone. And that doesn't take telling, it takes feeling. You can use words as much as you like but if those words don't bring up feelings then they are useless. This poem uses words to bring up feelings of loneliness and hopelessness...you've done very well in conveying the hurt of feeling alone and needing help.

Keep Dreaming, even in nightmares.
