First Flight

First Flight

A Poem by Brooklyn

When the tight knots turn to loose strings,

The bird learns to flap his wings

Taking to the sky for the first time.

Swooping and gliding

The air bending to his will.

Forgetting the questions

That are sill unanswerable.

The flapping of the bird’s wings

Carry it away from the memory of its sins.

And the steady rhythm

Chases away the conflict within.

It forgets the anger and heartbreak

That on the ground,

It must face.

Now it has the power to fly away

Should it come back?

Should it leave or stay?

But for now,

It just fly’s.

It forgets the lies.

It will have to land one day

But the world is full of new possibility

Hmm, good imagery and symbolism. I like the way you described the bird's physical appearance so well, and then you brought in its mental feelings. Some birds may feel like that, we mat never know.
Now as for the symbolism, this could easiy represent people and their ability to "fly" away from their problems to explore new possibilities and opportunities. Some envy the people with that ability, to not keep their mind clouded. Either way, as I'm not sure which way you meant, but it was beautiful altogether
Great job Brooklyn, keep it up
