Pure Notes

Pure Notes

A Poem by Brooklyn

Pure notes

Ring in my ears

A sweet melody

And with the lingering chords

My worries disappear

The strum of the guitar

The beat of the drum

The same pattern as my racing heart

A harmony of sounds

Floating around me

A kaleidoscope of rhythms

And a string of vibrations

Piano, forte

Soft, loud

A sweet song

A gentle slope

Of pure notes

Author's Note

Brooklyn
