Love

Love

A Poem by Brooklyn

Love is fragile

Should be cradled and protected

Hidden away

Shared with some

Or shared with none

Love is dangerous

Dangerous and uncertain

Not to be taken lightly

Or it may come back to bite you

Love is powerful

But it makes you weak

And weakness is not an option

Love is wounding

Like the stabbing of a blade

In gashes you will pay

Love is unhealthy

It will destroy you

If not today

Than someday

Love is fragile

But it should be shared with others

So it can be stronger

Not hidden

Somewhere they will never find

Love is dangerous

But it is worth the risk

It is worth the uncertainty

For a kiss

Love is powerful

A power that does not dissipate

When all others fade

Love may hurt

But it does not betray

Its true owner

We need love

Love is heartache and pain

Love is torture and blame

But Love is possibility

Love is hope

Love  is pure

And Love will always be there
