endless blue

endless blue

A Poem by Brooke Faulkner
"

This haiku is couple in my mind with the flying fish.

"
Endless blue sea sparks
into violent oranges as the
sun dips down inside

Beautiful and vivid. A crackling moment, well-captured, and tantalizingly familiar to me, as I often loiter down by the sea, gazing into those violent colours, the spitting fish punching through flashing waves at dawn. It's wonderful. Excellent haiku.
